Code of Conduct for Councillors of Brasted Parish Council

Parish Councils are required by the Localism Act 2011 to adopt a Code of Conduct governing the conduct of elected members in local government. This should be seen as the governing document that controls the conduct and behaviour of Parish Councillors in conducting the business of the Parish Council.

The Code of Conduct for local councils must be based on the seven Nolan principles of public life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.
